PHC ADOPTS NEW WELLBEING POLICY

Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) have approved  a new Wellbeing Policy for the benefit of its employees to include financial, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.

Financial support includes the introduction of a new internet platform providing PHC staff access to a wide range of discounts and savings on  a wide range of household spending , ranging from discounts with leading supermarkets and retailers to savings on family days out; emotional wellbeing support includes access to counselling, legal information, and advice on debt management; physical wellbeing is supported through access to initiatives for employees to stay healthy and active; and social wellbeing support includes access to social events and activities within the organisation. Other benefits include a cycle to work scheme, financial contribution towards spectacles, if required, for those employees working at PC stations and free health checks in collaboration with LiveWell Dorset.

Captain Brian Murphy, Chief Executive of PHC said: “PHC have introduced this new Wellbeing Policy to enhance the healthy and supportive work environment which is key to the success of our organisation. This strategy takes a holistic approach to wellbeing by taking into consideration the unique needs and characteristics of our organisation and our workforce.
