The wide-open spaces and stunning views of the harbour make Poole the perfect place for canoe and kayaking enthusiasts.
Poole Harbour and the surrounding areas, particularly Hamworthy, is home to many canoeing and rowing clubs that have been around for many years. There is an excellent attitude towards the activity within the area, with rowers always given the space needed to train and take in the views.
There are many areas within the harbour for you to enjoy, but we do ask that you be mindful of fellow canoers as well as nearby vessels to avoid any accidents. Canoeing in the harbour is an enjoyable experience for all when the Code of Safe Practice for Sea Canoeists is adhered to by visitors.
