PHC WELCOMES NEW ENGINEERING APPRENTICES

We are delighted to welcome two new apprentices to our Engineering department: Jack Bass and Harrison McVay. Jack is doing a mechanical apprenticeship and Harrison is undergoing an apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, both at Bournemouth & Poole College.

Phil Armstrong, Harbour Engineer at PHC said “I am thrilled that we have been able to take on two new apprentices this year. Port of Poole, as a busy Port servicing regular cross-channel services carrying passengers; freight, bulk and containerised cargo vessels; cruise ships project cargoes and two marinas, is a great environment for our apprentices. They have already been working on a number of different projects within the Port which will provide them with a great variety of work and will enable them to acquire a broad range of invaluable skills”.
