NEW SUPERYACHT READY ACCREDITATION FOR OUR MARINAS

Poole Quay Boat Haven & Port of Poole Marina has become the first marina in the UK to receive the new Superyacht Ready Accreditation from The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) within weeks of its launch at Southampton International Boat Show.

All Gold Anchor accredited marinas can apply to become Superyacht Ready, which assesses the suitability of marinas to accommodate superyachts, security measures, and service availability.

Captain Brian Murphy, Chief Executive of Poole Harbour Commissioners, said “We are very proud to be the first in the UK to receive this new certification which reflects the hard work carried out by our Marina Manager, Kerrie Gray CMM and her team, consistently delivering the highest standard of service for superyachts visiting our Port. Our existing excellent offering to superyachts includes a helicopter landing facility and we will be expanding our berth offering significantly over the next two years, in line with our Masterplan vision.”

Jonathan White, TYHA General Manager, has congratulated Kerrie Gray CMM and her team for their excellent achievement and expressed his excitement for the industry’s enthusiastic support for this new accreditation which links with the world renowned Gold Anchor marina accreditation scheme.

In August 2023, for the 5th Consecutive time and following a rigorous assessment, Poole Quay Boat Haven and Port of Poole Marina retained their prestigious Five Gold Anchor status, the highest level of accreditation on offer.
