27 Feb COVID VACCINATION CENTRE UPDATE
MORE than 94 per cent of patients over 80-years-old at the Lifeboat Quay Medical Centre have received the Covid-19 vaccination.
As of 22/02/2021 Lifeboat Quay patients in the following groups had received their first COVID Vaccination:
– 94% of patients 80+ years
– 93% of patients 75-79 years
– 94% of patients 70-74 years
– 85% of Clinically Extremely Vulnerable patients
– 87% of patients 65-69 years
– 55% of patients 16-64 years At Risk (underlying health conditions) and carers
Jill, Practice Manager, Lifeboat Quay Medical Centre said:
“The vaccination clinic we are running at the Port of Poole together with the other central Poole surgeries is running really smoothly, and seems to have been well received by our patients.
“We have received a lot of very kind messages and emails from patients, which means such a lot to the whole team.
“We have been supported gallantly by a fabulous band of Volunteers – who have remained in good spirits despite the freezing weather.
“Poole Harbour Commissioners have been incredibly supportive throughout, and we couldn’t have done any of this without them. PRC Streamline Group are very kindly offering a discounted rate for patients to and from the Covid clinic.
“Greendale Construction Ltd, ASDA and Tesco have all very generously donated refreshments for the staff and volunteers working at the Port, who are giving up their free time and days off to deliver this incredibly important vaccination programme.”
The Lifeboat Quay Medical centre are running the Vaccination Clinic at the Port of Poole, together with neighbouring Poole GP Practices. There is level access, free parking and volunteers on site to assist with directions, wheelchairs and coordinating drop-off and pick-up.
