16 Jun POOLE BAY 100 RETURNS TO POOLE QUAY BOAT HAVEN

Poole Quay Boat Haven welcomed the return of the annual Poole Bay 100 offshore powerboat race over the weekend, as competitors, organisers and spectators gathered for one of the highlights of the maritime events calendar.
Organised by UKOPRA, the event saw Poole Quay transformed into a hub of activity, with race control based on the quay itself while Poole Quay Boat Haven served as the wet pits for competing vessels.
Thousands of spectators lined Poole Town Quay to watch the impressive sight of the powerboats leaving the marina in formation before making their way into Poole Bay and out onto the race course. The event once again demonstrated the excitement and spectacle of offshore powerboat racing, attracting strong support from both competitors and visitors.
PHC’s Marina Manager Kerrie Gray, said: “The Poole Bay 100 is always a fantastic event for Poole Quay Boat Haven and the wider harbour community. It was wonderful to see so many people along the quay enjoying the atmosphere and watching the boats depart in formation. Events like this showcase the unique facilities we have here and the important role the marina and Port of Poole play in supporting major maritime events.”
