PHC HOSTS SOUTH WEST REGIONAL YOUNG ENTERPRISE UK FINAL

Poole Harbour Commissioners were delighted to host the South West Regional Final of the Young Enterprise UK programme on 7 May 2025– an inspiring event that connects education with the world of work, helping young people develop vital business skills.

Eight student-led teams presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges, showcasing an impressive range of creativity, confidence and enterprise.

Congratulations to all the teams who took part, and a special well done to the winning team, Pearl, from Balcarras School in Gloucestershire. Their sustainable bamboo toothbrushes with replaceable heads aim to tackle plastic waste from traditional toothbrushes.

The panel of judges included PHC Chairman Lee Hardy, Karine Sweeney from JP Morgan, Ian Girling from the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rebecca Phillips from Evolve, James Mullins from Goonvean Core Engineering and UK Led Lighting, and James Benamour from Richmond Group.
