We’ve been involved in pre-consultation discussions and presentations with a range of organisations over the past twelve months. However, the formal consultation process runs from 5th September 2011 with the launch of the Draft Master Plan. The government has suggested a 12 week consultation period, but we’ve chosen to extend this to 20 weeks so that everyone can have their say.
During this time we will circulate the Draft Master Plan as widely as possible; hold public exhibitions, provide presentations to organisations and hold meetings with interested groups.
The Plan can be viewed on our website, and be downloaded if required, with an option to email us your views. In early 2012 we intend to issue the completed (final) Master Plan. The plan is a living document that will be reviewed at regular intervals (at least every 5 years).
We need your input to the draft master plan so please take time to read it and give us your feedback.
We will collate all the responses and publish a summary of the findings on our website and in our newsletter. Whilst we have included as much information and explanation as possible in the draft plan there may be certain factors that we have overlooked and, with your help, we will be in a better position to address such issues. Your local knowledge and experience of the harbour are a crucial part of this process. Comments will remain anonymous and names and addresses will not be shared with any third parties.
