Poole Harbour Boat
Race in your Classroom - this game can be played by small
groups of children (tables) in the classroom. The game is
both fun and educational – the children will learn while
they play! The issues concerning the many different uses of
Poole Harbour, featured in the game, will stimulate
classroom discussion - most children from the Poole area
will have views on Poole Harbour! See how you might be able
to use it in your classroom download the Teachers Notes.
On the playing board there are a series of question marks
with numbers. Each one corresponds to a fact about the
harbour on the 'Did you know that ...... ?' information
sheet.
Download the game itself - The playing board can be
downloaded in four A4 sections which should be stuck
together to make the playing board.
The boat card sheet will need to be printed 6 times to give
enough boat cards for each player to collect one of each.
There are different coloured boat playing pieces on the boat
card sheets. Cut all these out and your ready to play.
