Brownsea Island is owned by the National Trust.

Boat owners are welcome to explore Brownsea Island and can land on the western-end by dinghy at Pottery Pier or on the South Shore.

Landing is not permitted at East Pier at the eastern end of the island or on the northern shore which is a Nature Reserve.

Barbecues or beach fires are not allowed.
